IOM'S COMMUNITY STABILISATION PROGRAMMING IN IRAQ

06 May, 2019

In 2018, IOM’s community stabilisation programme underwent significant growth and development. The 2018 Overview presents significant results achieved in the project locations, along with analysis of stabilisation, social cohesion and MHPSS challenges experienced in the country.

To support long-term strategies, in 2018 IOM invested further into capacity building local actors, including Government and NGOs and CSOs, for MHPSS and social cohesion activities where possible and appropriate. With the long-term goal of handing over services to local actors, this included supporting Dohuk and Ninewa-based CSOs with trainings, small grants, and on-site guidance and coaching.
